Through Sur Place Scholarships, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation supports talented young people back home, thereby giving young people the opportunity to devote themselves to study and to participate in political and social life.
Who can participate:
Young people - citizens of Kyrgyzstan who study at universities of their country (bachelor's - from the second year and master's degree), and who have not reached the age of 30 at the time of application, and who are actively involved in the social and political life of the country can become scholarship holders of the Foundation.
Preference is given to students of social sciences: political science, economics and finance, international relations, management, law, contemporary history, journalism, philosophy and religious studies.
The Konrad Adenauer Foundation Scholarship is available only on an exceptional basis to students in technical, philological, and medical fields.

Briefly about the program:
The United States government, through the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, annually holds an open competition for Fulbright scholarships for graduate studies at U.S. universities.
Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis:
To study for a master's degree at U.S. universities with a master's degree. The duration of stay in the United States on these grants is from 1 to 2 years, depending on the length of the master's program;
Scholarships provide opportunities to study in the humanities, engineering, and social sciences. Applications in the field of medicine are not accepted.
Who can participate:
Must be a citizen of Kyrgyzstan and reside in Kyrgyzstan at the time of application; have a university degree at the time of application;have English language proficiency to the extent necessary for study or a research project. Successful applicants will be required to take the TOEFL/GRE/GMAT.
Preference is given to applicants who have not previously studied in the United States.
Applicants who reside in the United States or have residency in the United States are not eligible to apply.

Briefly about the program:
The Humphrey Fellows Program provides young and mid-career professionals from the Kyrgyz Republic the opportunity to enhance their professional potential through participation in specialized 10-month programs.
During their one-year stay at a host U.S. university, Humphrey Fellows are invited to take professional development courses that match their professional interests. However, because the Humphrey Fellowship is not a degree program, participants spend much of their time on professional development activities, including consultation and collaboration with U.S. faculty and experts, field trips, workshops, research projects, and the development of practical, useful strategies that can be applied in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Who can participate:
Be a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic and reside in the Kyrgyz Republic at the time of application. Be a graduate of an accredited university or college and have a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Have five years of significant professional experience. Have proficiency in the English language. Be committed to returning home after completing the program.

The Global Undergraduate Graduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) provides a diverse group of young student leaders with a one-semester scholarship for academic study without a U.S. college or university degree. Global UGRAD is a program of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs that aims to recruit participants from underrepresented backgrounds who have had no other opportunity to study in the United States. Successful candidates can expect an in-depth introduction to American society, culture and academic institutions, as well as opportunities to enhance their professional skills.

Briefly about the program:
"FLEX (Future Leaders EXchange) is a non-profit exchange program for high school students that has been held annually in the CIS since 1992.
Thanks to the program, during one academic year a participant can study in an American school, live in an American host family, and take an active part in the social life of society.
International exchange programs emerged after the end of World War II as a desire of people of different nationalities and worldviews to better understand and get to know each other.

Briefly about the program:
The centerpiece of OneBeat will be a month-long program consisting of a residency in the United States and a tour. During the residencies, participants will form small, collaborative ensembles that will improvise in different genres, reinvent traditional melodies, compose original works, record in OneBeat's state-of-the-art mobile studio, and prepare for performances and educational workshops. The bands will then tour U.S. cities to perform the music they developed during their residency, perform with local musicians and collaborate with community organizations to conduct creative workshops with local youth. The program will culminate with a high-profile final concert and professionally produced album of tracks recorded in OneBeat's mobile studio.
Who can participate:
Applicants must be between the ages of 19 and 35.
OneBeat Virtual Fellows must currently reside permanently in one of 50 eligible countries (including Central Asian countries) and territories. We are also looking for candidates who have not had extensive global exchange and work opportunities in the U.S. and abroad.

Briefly about the program:
United People Global (UPG) is a community that encourages and empowers people to make the world a better place. This can be accomplished in many ways, especially by promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UPG Sustainability Leadership program mobilizes people and organizations to support positive civic leadership in sustainability. UPG brings together people who are committed to making an impact by taking positive action.
UPG successfully trained 60 sustainability leaders from 30 countries in 2019, due to the covid19 outbreak it was impossible to run the program in 2020, but with great joy they have officially announced the return of the program in 2021. By 2022, UPG will train and certify 500 young leaders from around the world and 60 of them will fly to an additional week-long experience on an island in the United States. The program will be held in Rockland. This is a fully funded program and all expenses of the selected candidates will be paid.
Who can participate:
An active citizen, ages 18 to 35 from around the world with a good command of English.
